What a wild few weeks! As we head into the Thanksgiving holiday here in the United States, I realized that I should share some things I have learned about gratitude.

I’m sure that you’ve read about how easy and helpful a gratitude practice can be, but what you might not know is the incredible power it can have.

Gratitude is like a probiotic for your spirit. Taking time to be grateful for the good things in your life – even really small things – can have a major effect on your overall happiness and well-being.

Fear and anger cannot coexist with gratitude.
Gratitude will overwhelm negative emotions.

All of us have been inundated with fear and anger over the past year. So many of us are exhausted and deflated. Taking a minute several times a day to acknowledge what is going well can help you stay more positive and focused. Try it!

And watch Dr. Brene Brown’s video below about how you won’t experience joy without gratitude.
